Greek gods
Greek Gods In Greek mythology, there were initially very former Gods: Gaïa, the Earth Mother, which generated Ouranos, the Sky, which it married.
They gave birth to the Cyclops and the Titans, of which among the latter, Oceans, Water, Cronos, the Time, which married to Rea and generated the first generation of the Gods of Olympus: Zeus, Era, Estia, Demeter and Poseidon.
One also finds a crowd of gods local, Syrian, Egyptian, semi gods born of the unions between gods and mortals, and heroes.
The worship was celebrated inside the sanctuary (hieron), surrounded by the crowned enclosure (temenos), which one entered by an entry (propylea).
