The sanctuary of Brauron is located in Vravrona, close to the Attic coast eastward of Athens.
The Greeks fleet expedition to Troy would have gathered here, according to the tradition.
The sanctuary is dedicated to the goddess Artemis, the temple came from the Vth BC, several of its columns were recently restored.
The museum shelters statues of the young priestesses of the sanctuary: the Ourses, who were involved to the worship of Artemis at 7 years old.
